Daicui Zhou: PhD, Professor of Physics. Research field is in high-energy experimental nuclear physics and its phenomenology. He has been member of several International Collaborations on High Energy heavy ion experiments, such as CERN/SPS-EMU01 at European Nuclear Research Center (CERN), BNL/AGS-E815 in United States, DUBNA/JINR -EMU12 in Russia, CERN/LHC-ALICE at CERN and GSI/FAIR-CBM in Germany. There are more than 260 publications independently and jointly launched on such topics as multi-particle production, correlation and fluctuation, nuclear modification suppression of particle spectra, jet production and energy loss, anisotropic flow, heavy flavor and quarkonium production et.al. He presided the R&D and development of the three facilities “Particle track digitalization measurement system”, " Front-End Electronics (FEE) of the ALICE PHoton Spectrometer (PHOS) " and "Di-jet electromagnetic CALorimeter (DCAL) supermodule of the ALICE experiment", which were or have been using in international collaboration experiments at SPS and LHC. It was awarded two times by the State Education Commission's science and Technology Progress Award and the Henry Fok Ying Tung Foundation's outstanding achievement award. He has presided over and participated in research projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), key project and major international cooperation project, innovation research group project of NSFC, 973 projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, major project of science and technology research of the Chinese Ministry of Education, and Henry Fok Ying Dong outstanding Youth Funding. He has been invited as visiting scholar or guess professor to visit and cooperate with more than ten research institutes in Japan, Russia, France, Italy, Norway and CERN and established bilateral collaboration agreements. At present, he is also the executive vice-director of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, vice-director of the Institute of Particles, vice-chairman of Hubei Nuclear Society, Council member of the Chinese Nuclear Society, Council member of the Chinese Nuclear Physics Society, member of the Management Board of CERN/LHC ALICE Experiment, Council member of the ALICE Experimental Collaboration Board, member of the Online and Offline Board, Coordinator of the ALICE-China team. Recently, he was selected as a senior scientist member of CERN scientific Associate at European Nuclear Research Center(CERN).
